Syrian Military Accuses Israel Of Daytime Airstrikes Wounding Civilians

The Syrian military on Saturday accused Israel of carrying out daytime airstrikes near Tartus, Syria that they say wounded two civilians.

Syrian state news SANA quoted a military source saying that several missiles were fired from the direction of the Mediterranean Sea at around 6:30 a.m. and that the missiles targeted "several poultry farms in the vicinity of Hamadiyah, south of Tartus".

The missiles were alleged by the Syrian defense ministry to have injured two civilians, including one woman, and caused material damage.

It is important to note that the coastal city of Tartus and Hmeimim air base in Latakia nearby are the two main Russian bases located in Syria.
