LONDON - The lower tier of the Russian parliament will assemble on July 15 for an unaccustomed meeting, its convention decided on Monday, just days after President Vladimir Putin warned that he had not even started to get serious about the conflict in Ukraine.

A pro-Putin party that controls the Russian parliament did not divulge what would be talked about in the session.
Vladimir Vasilyev the chief of the United Russia Party; which contains 325 seats in a 450-seat parliament told Reuters that the legislators would deliberate on more than 60 issues at the session.
“The processes must go on now to receive a legal response,” Vladimir Vasilyev stated on the United Russia Party's Telegram channel.
“So the council discussed the agenda for the 15th: we plan to consider a little more than 60 issues,” Vasiliev said. He did not disclose what the issues were. The United Russia Party said more than 80 draft laws would be discussed.
Duma Speaker, Vyacheslav Volodin told Vladimir Putin on Thursday that the Russian Parliament would assist two Russian-backed self-professed insurgent governments in eastern Ukraine to expand upon their legal systems.
Vladimir Putin has portrayed the war in Ukraine as a conflict between the United States and Russia, which he states have discomfited Russia since the Soviet Union fell in 1991 by expanding NATO eastwards and by using Ukraine to threaten Russia. The United States has said continually that it does not want to fight Russia.
