Russian President Vladimir Putin told the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko that Russia will be providing Belarus nuclear-capable Iskander missile systems in the "next few months".
The Iskander missile system is able to launch both cruise missiles, as well as short-range ballistic missiles with either conventional or nuclear warheads.
According to the readout on the Russian presidential website, this is a response to concerns of "training flights of aircraft of the United States of America and NATO, which are trained to carry nuclear warheads".
