Russia Claims Oil Refinery Struck By Ukrainian Drones

Flying from the direction of Ukraine, 2 drones have supposedly hit a major Russian oil refinery, in the Rostov region, on Wednesday, sending plumes of smoke and flame into the air, halting production.

There have been a number of regions within the Russian border that have been reporting Ukrainian incursions and attacks combined with artillery shelling after Russia's invasion of Ukraine back in February.

Instead of being viewed as an act of war, Russia has decided to categorize this drone strike as a terrorist action.

"As a result of terrorist actions from the Western border of the Rostov region, two unmanned aerial vehicles struck at the technological facilities of Novoshakhtinsk," - Plant representatives

It was reported on social media that a drone, located 5 miles from the border with Ukraine, flying towards the refinery prior to the plume of smoke and flames blocked out the camera.
