Missiles Launched by DPRK After Biden Ends Asian Trip

After U.S. President Joe Biden ends his Asian trip, the DPRK fired 3 missiles into the East Sea on Wednesday. 1 missile of the 3 is thought to be the largest ICBM in the NK arsenal. The launch was detected from the Sunan area in Pyongyang at around 6 a.m., 6:37 a.m., and 6:42 a.m., reported by the Joint Chiefs of Staff. This was the 17th show of force by the DPRK this year.

Live fire drills were held by the U.S. and South Korea in combined joint exercises involving the Hyunmoo-2 SRBM, a South Korean Missile System and U.S. Army Tactical Missile System. Interceptors also participated, displaying an elephant walk formation in another military show of force.

Kim Tae-hyo, South Korean national security advisor, also states that the DPRK has conducted several experiments with a detonation device, preparing for its 7th nuclear test; However, he also stated that the test was unlikely to happen for some time.
