U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken has stated that the U.S. is imposing sanctions on two of the largest financial institutions in Russia, Putin's adult children, Lavrov's wife, and adult child, 21 members of Russia's National Security Council, and the former President.
Blinken stated, "We are implementing sanctions on two of the largest Russian financial institutions, designating the adult children of President Putin, the wife, and adult child of Foreign Minister Lavrov, and 21 members of Russia’s National Security Council, including former President Medvedev".
