US Confirms Moskva Was Targeted By Missile Attack

Washington has put out a confirmation that the Russian missile cruiser Moskva was in fact targeted by a Ukrainian missile strike.

Anton Gerashchenko, an advisor to the Kyiv Interior Ministry claimed that the explosion was so strong that it sank in minutes, but that information seems to conflict with photos that we have seen that look to have been taken hours after the Moskva had initially been damaged. We have also seen satellite images of what is thought to be the Moskva taken around 18 hours after the ship was damaged, still afloat.

The Moskva battleship had a crew of 510 sailors. There have been many claims as to how many survived and how many died, including the Kremlin who claims that all crew was safely evacuated before the ship sank.

The Russian Defense Ministry released a video of what they claim to be the Moskva's crew members in Sevastopol. The number of crew shown in the video however was between 100 and 240 crew members (the numbers vary between analysts, but not more than 240 crew) out of the 510 sailors that had been on the Moskva before it sank.
