US Carries Out Strike In Syria Against Senior Leader Of Al-Qaeda Aligned Group

The US military carried out a strike on a vehicle on the Idlib-Binnish road in the Idlib province in Syria on Monday, targeting a senior leader of the Al-Qaeda-aligned militant group, Hurras al-Din.

The strikes targeted Abu Hamzah al Yemeni as he was driving on a motorcycle on the Idlib-Binnish. There was no one else with him at the time, according to a statement released by the United States military.

The statement also said that an initial review of the strikes indicate that there were no civilian casualties as a result of the strikes.
A few hours prior to the strikes there had been reports of multiple US MQ-9 reaper drones flying over Idlib. Some reports said that there were three drones spotted.
