According to U.S. officials, intelligence from the United States given to Ukraine aided in sinking the Russian ship, the Moskva which sank after being hit with two Ukrainian Neptune anti-ship missiles.
The Moskva vessel sank on April 14th, making it the largest Russian warship sunk during a combat situation since the world war 2 era.
While officials stated that there were significant Russian casualties after the Moskva was hit by the missiles, officials did not know what the exact death toll was.
Officials stressed however that they were not aware that Ukraine was going to target the Moskva when they passed the intelligence along and was in no way involved in the decision to carry out the strike against the Russian ship.
