Turkey's Erdogan & Saudi Crown Prince to Meet and Discuss Full Reconciliation

The Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, is traveling to Turkey today to meet with Turkey's president Tayyip Erdogan. The meeting is to normalize relations and lay out the path for full reconciliation, which had been broken with the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

Both countries have room for major growth as Turkey is in need of financial support and the crown prince is in need of improving his public image. All of this comes ahead of Turkey's presidential elections, and the money that could be offered from Saudi Arabia will come just in time to stimulate Turkey's economy.

In April, Turkey dropped the trial over the death of the journalist which occurred in Istanbul in 2018 in a first move effort to normalize relations. The meeting is scheduled to take place this afternoon and there will not be any public statements on the schedule. This is a very specific one on one meeting for discussions on energy, economy, and security as well. There is also an outlined plan that will be discussed for Saudi money to enter the capital markets of Turkey.
