The United States is now receiving the blame for Lithuania's blockade of Russian goods, which Lithuania ensures is part of EU sanctions placed on the Russian Federation, for its aggression against Ukraine.
Actions, which Russia claims is part of many hostile actions from the USA towards Russia, are being aggressively challenged by Russia and they are pledging a tough response to the blockade of goods. Lithuania has been preparing for the response, and they say they are ready if the Russian Federation cuts Lithuania off from the regional power grid.
Lithuania stresses that the statements regarding a blockade are false, and it is simply acting within the realms of EU sanctions as transportation for goods will not be totally shut off, but certain goods would be restricted as far as volumes being transited.
Russia, who is trying to reroute goods onto ships for sea transportation, says that the ban will half between 30% - 50% of cargo traffic.
