MOSCOW - Russia has issued a warning to Britain for allegedly provoking Ukraine, and said that if it continues to do so, there will be an immediate and 'proportional response'.

The Russian Defense Ministry issued the warning, citing Britain's armed forces minister James Heappey after he spoke to BBC radio and said that it was entirely legitimate for Ukraine to target Russia's 'depth' in order to disrupt logistics.

Heappey had said, "It is completely legitimate for Ukraine to be targeting in Russia's depth in order to disrupt the logistics that if they weren't disrupted would directly contribute to death and carnage on Ukrainian soil".

"There are lots of countries around the world that operate kit that they have imported from other countries; when those bits of kit are used we tend not to blame the country that manufactured it, you blame the country that fired it" he added.

The Russian Defense Ministry stated, "We would like to underline that London's direct provocation of the Kyiv regime into such actions if such actions are carried out, will immediately lead to our proportional response".

"As we have warned, the Russian Armed Forces are in round-the-clock readiness to launch retaliatory strikes with high-precision long-range weapons at decision-making centers in Kyiv".
