Russia Fires Rockets Directly From Belarus Into Ukraine

Russia has fired rockets directly from Belarus into Ukraine, according to the Ukrainian Main Directorate of Intelligence, and the New York Times which says that over 40 missiles were launched from Belarus into Ukraine.

The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine posted on their Facebook page, "Rocket strikes from the territory of Belarus - a large-scale provocation of Russia for the purpose of further dragging Belarus into the war against Ukraine".

"On the night of June 25, a mass rocket-bomb strike was launched across Ukraine. In particular, Russian bombers "worked" directly from the territory of Belarus. For this, six tu-22m3 aircraft were involved, which performed the launches of 12 winged missiles x-22. Rim of launch - area of the city of petrikov, which is nearby mozyrâ, probably 50-60 kilometers from the state border of Ukraine. Bombarduvalʹniki took off from the airport "Shaikkovka" in the Kaluz region of Russia. Further through the territory of Kaluz and Smolensʹkoí сі regions entered the airspace of Belarus. After the launch of the rockets returned to the airport "Shajkova" in the territory of Russia. The blow was carried out in Kyiv, Chernihiv, and Sumy regions.
This is the first case of an air strike across Ukraine directly from the territory of Belarus. Today's shelling is directly related to the efforts of the Kremlin authorities to drag Belarus into the war in Ukraine as a direct participant.

We remind you that yesterday it became known about the arrival of the Belarusian Mozyr of Russian sabotage groups planning to undermine the city of residential buildings, schools, and hospitals. Possible provocations can be presented as Ukraine's response to the air strikes".
The Chief Directorate of Intelligence says that this is the first time Russia has launched airstrikes on Ukraine from Belarus and said "Today’s attack is linked to the Kremlin’s attempts to drag Belarus into the war with Ukraine as a direct participant".

The New York Times has reported that Russia launched over 40 missiles from Belarusian airspace into Ukraine, hitting 'mostly military targets' just hours before Russian President Vladimir Putin was set to meet with Alexander Lukashenko, the leader of Belarus.
