A soldier for the U.S. Army was killed on Wednesday in an incident involving two UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters at Wright Army Airfield in Hinesville, Georgia around 40 miles southwest of Savannah.
The statement that was given by the3rd Infantry Division Wednesday stated, "One Soldier was killed in an incident involving two UH-60 helicopters at Wright Army Airfield at approximately 2 a.m. this morning. The Soldier was assigned to the 3rd Combat Aviation Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division".
An investigation regarding the incident is currently being carried out and the Wright Army Airfield has been closed until further notice.
