Notable Earthquake, Iran

A 5.6 magnitude earthquake hit waters 30 kilometers outside of Kish, Iran, early Saturday morning.

Fatalities and injuries have yet to be reported. Iran has many fault lines that have brought devastation in the recent past.

Officials told state TV that there had been some 100 quakes and aftershocks over the past 10 days in the same region.

This particular earthquake was in the southern gulf area and was felt by locals and residents of the UAE.
