South Korea's unification ministry stated on Tuesday that North Korea is ready to carry out a nuclear test at any time, South Korean news agency Yonhap quoted an anonymous official from the ministry as saying.
"North Korea is currently prepared to conduct a nuclear test at any time in case Chairman Kim Jong-un decides to do so" the official reportedly stated on the condition of anonymity.
The official also reportedly said that South Korea and Washington are both 'discussing various countermeasures', including measures through the United Nations Security Council.
