GEORGIA - 21 Years ago, when the country watched the towers fall in New York City, Two men dominated the television screens, George W. Bush and Rudy Giuliani. It was during this time that America was brought together as an undivided nation under God. Giuliani, who was Mayor of New York City at the time has now become the target of a criminal investigation probe into the 2020 election in the state of Georgia. During the 2020 election, the rumors of voter fraud were rampant, from Georgia to Pennsylvania to Arizona. The personal lawyer of the then President of the United States Donald Trump at the time was Rudy Giuliani, former Mayor of New York. Reuters reported on August 15th, that Giuliani has now become a target of a criminal investigation over possible alleged attempts by Donald Trump to overturn the election results in Georgia. Giuliani's attorneys were informed the same day. Giuliani, a lawyer defending his client, is now facing criminal charges by the Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, as the investigation gets closer to the former President. District Attorney Willis has also stated that she has considered calling Donald Trump herself so that he may provide testimony before the grand jury. Donald Trump has since hired a criminal defense attorney in wake of the news on Rudy Giuliani. Since the search and seizure on Donald Trump's estate in Mar-a-Lago, things have intensified in regards to how the public is viewing law enforcement, specifically the FBI. Trump's business, the Trump Organization, is also facing a civil suit in New York City in regards to his net worth of assets, and whether or not he has misled banks and the IRS. All of this, along with the Justice Department investigating the January 6th issue at the U.S. Capitol, also in regards to the 2020 election. The Associated Press is reporting that Giuliani spread false claims of election fraud in Fulton County, in Atlanta, and is now scheduled to testify on August 17th by District Attorney Fani Willis. U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham is also going to need to testify, according to the Associated Press. The attorney is wanting to know about phone calls that he had made to Brad Raffensperger, Georgia Secretary of State, following the election. Graham has stated that since he is a United States senator, he has immunity and does not have to appear before the panel; However, U.S. District Judge Leigh Martin May stated that immunities related to his position will not protect him from providing testimony. He has been subpoenaed to appear in front of the grand jury on August 23rd but plans to appeal. There was a phone call between Donald Trump and Brad Raffensperger, where Trump asked Raffensperger to find the votes needed to reverse the loss in the state of Georgia. In total, there were 7 advisors who have been petitioned to provide testimony in Fulton County. Specifically, with Giuliani, she is concerned regarding his presentation of a video, in which election workers were producing suitcases of illegal ballots from unknown sources, outside the view of observers and voting poll attendees and staff, on December 3rd, a video which Raffensperger claimed had been faked. The criminal investigation's defense states the evidence will show an influence in the 2020 election in Georgia in Trump's favor, by the Trump campaign. Two identified workers at the polls in Georgia were Ruby Freeman and Wandrea Moss. Giuliani presented the video stating that these two women were passing USB thumb drives back and forth. Freeman and Moss say that it was only candy that they were passing. Within another piece of Fani's defense puzzle, another person being asked to provide testimony is Kenneth Chesebro, an attorney in Georgia, who Willis claims worked with Giuliani to organize a plan with other Georgian Conservatives to subvert the election in Trump's favor, saying he led a team of 16 men and declared themselves the state's electors, and was planning to present Trump as the winner.
