The European Union has agreed to cut about 90% of Russian oil imports by the end of 2022, according to the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.
The ban on Russian oil exempts oil from pipelines and allows dependent states such as Hungary to continue to import Russian oil, but bans oil shipped from the sea. Both Germany and Poland will be stopping their oil imports from the Druzhba oil pipeline by the end of 2022 as well.
