At Least 20 Casualties After Blast Hit Kunduz, Afghanistan

An explosion hit the Mawlawi Sikandar Khananqa mosque in the Kunduz province, Afghanistan, killing or wounding at least 20 people, according to the commander of the Kunduz province on Friday although some reports are saying between 30 and 40 people have been killed or wounded.

Qari Badri, the commander of Kunduz province spoke to Reuters and said that 20 people had been killed or wounded in the blast on the Sunni mosque.

It is not yet known who carried out the blast, but a few other blasts also recently occurred that ISIS claimed responsibility for, including one in Kunduz and another on a Shi'ite mosque in Mazar-e-Sharif the day before.
