TAIWAN - Less than two weeks after U.S. House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi was watched by the world landing and meeting the Taiwanese government, under threats by China to engage in an international incident over the visit, a five-member delegation, led by Senator Ed Markey (D) of Massachusetts, will meet in Taiwan to discuss items regarding security, economical, and trade topics, according to the American Institute in Taiwan. According to AP News, It is not official yet if the delegation is already in Taiwan, but The Straits Times has already posted on the arrival of the delegation, on a two-day visit and meetings scheduled. Other osint groups are stating that the plane which landed in Taipei was SPAR 11. Which is in the same aircraft fleet as the plane which flew Nancy Pelosi to Taiwan aboard SPAR 19. Taiwan has been meeting frequently with foreign delegations over the summer. The first delegation to meet with Taiwan officials was a delegation from Japan consisting of former Prime Ministers. A week later, Nancy Pelosi and her congressional delegation also met with Taiwan officials in Taipei. Markey's delegation is number three. The response by China to Pelosi's visit, which was preceded by multiple threats and dangerous rhetorical warnings to the United States over violations of its 'One-China' policy, was a series of live-fire military exercises, surrounding the waters of Taiwan, which have just recently diminished, though they do continue. In regards to Taiwan, China sees the island as a territory of outlaws, which will be reunited with China, even if by force. U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's visit was watched by the world. The airplane which flew in her delegation was the most watched and tracked aircraft in the world and was escorted by U.S. fighter escorts, which were changed to Taiwanese escorts, once they approached Taiwanese airspace. The swap in national fighters was to prevent China from declaring an incursion by U.S. forces, as China stated it would view U.S. warplanes inside Taiwanese airspace as an invasion and respond to defend itself, according to Express UK.
